"As the road opens up in front of my eyes, These wheels are burning up the miles" - Road, The Alarm
Only appropriate to have an Alarm song in my head. Jo called me this morning to tell me she found a scrap of paper listing some musical artists that she was going to put on a tape for me and wanted to know if I had any idea who "Alan" was...I responded "Do you mean the Alarm?"
Anyway, Dirk and I took a little road trip yesterday. Work has keep us both very busy lately so we've been taking "us" time to do something together which usually is really just wandering around somewhere. Last weekend, we went shopping and antiquing in Denver. Yesterday we got up early had some yummy eggs for breakfast and then headed down to Colorado Springs to check out a little B&B and then went to Manitou Springs for lunch and to just do nothing in particular and had a really good time. Dirk has also never been to the Garden of the Gods so we stopped there on our way back.
Then last night my friend Jessica got her tattoo and it's gorgeous. Now her whole family has been tattooed by Dirk -- LOL.
Dirk left for Salt Lake City this morning, so the house will be a little quiet for the next couple of days. I need to start working on a skirt to go with one of the bodices I made recently. I'm trying to decide if I want the material to be the purple velvet to match the insets or if I want to get a deep golden yellow velvet to match the silk cords. Decisions, decisions....
Well, I am off to go round up my skirt pattern to figure out how much material I need!
